Why “Caona”?
Caona (pronounced kah-OH-nah) is a Taíno word that means “gold.” The Taíno are the indigenous people of the Caribbean, including the Dominican Republic.
We chose this name to honor the island’s cultural heritage—and because our founder proudly calls the Dominican Republic home. It's more than a destination to us; it’s part of our identity and the heart of everything we do.
